Creative | Educator | Changemaker |
Hi, I'm Abby.I play with puppets, I dance down the street, and I live life to the beat of a different drum.
I don't like being put in boxes (well... cardboard ones are cool. Who doesn't like pretending they're zooming through space in a cardboard spaceship). And I love to rebel against social norms. It's taken me a while to figure out who I am and now that I have, I am unapologetic about it. I founded The Solutionary School in 2020 as a space for changemakers of all ages to come together and create social change. My work is dedicated to advancing antiracist-decolonial-anti-oppression education and dismantling unjust systems. Tear. Them. Down. That includes systems that harm anyone who calls this living world home (peoples, animals, and the environment). I have a Master of Arts in Humane Education through Valparaiso University and The Institute for Humane Education and am certified in plant-based nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Yet, I still have imposter syndrome. Yes, I diagnosed myself. I like to collaborate with others who also want to disrupt systems and fight for a more just and compassionate world. If you're that person, reach out. Let's see how we can work together. In the meantime, please enjoy these photos of me with my sock puppet. Abby |
